A Halligan
Bar is used by firefighters as a general purpose prying tool
used to gain forcible entry into structures and vehicles.
It is usually "married" with an axe and the combination is
then referred to as a set of "irons". The
halligan bar was designed
by and named after Hugh Halligan, a First Deputy Fire Chief
in NYFD back in 1948. |
The Big O
Oktoberfest Lager
The Big O has been a huge success in the New
Hampshire and Massachusetts marketplace having won the Bronze Medal last year
at the International Beer Festival held in Providence, Rhode
Island. It is a dark amber Oktoberfest style lager
that pours with a lacey tan head, has aromas of Vienna malt
and caramel which pair nicely with its slightly sweet &
fruity palate. Hop character is very low and bittering
is unnoticeable. Brewed using imported hops of Czech Saaz,
Hallertau-Hersbrucker, Nugget and Tettnanger.
Oktoberfest takes place during the 16 days before the first
Sunday in October in an area named the "Theresienwiese", and
is called "die Wiesn" ("the meadow", in Bavarian dialect)
for short.
Original Gravity 15.2 Plato
Final Gravity 3.2 Plato
